Yoga & Meditation Class Thursdays!

Balance is BS.

Some people ask me how I do everything, from the real estate to writing to attending events to teaching yoga to running multiple businesses…

Number 1 question I get from people- “how do you balance everything?”

You don’t.

You do one thing at a time. I am not sitting here on the phone, writing and watching TV at the same time. In fact, I don’t OWN a TV and neither do I own a NETFLIX account (anymore). Is it stressful not being able to de-stress by sitting on my ARSE and watch TV? No, I read and I de-stress by jacuzz-ing or running/doing yoga. I love movies and tv shows, don’t get me wrong…but when an obsession hits me, I’m working…

And most of the time, it does not feel like work. No one is telling me to rebrand my business, no one is telling me to go network or meet new people, it’s an inner drive.

Is there balance in the entrepreneurial life?

No, you either work hard & MOST IMPORTANTLY, SMART, or you REST HARD and SMART!

This leads me to the fact that most of what I do IS NOT WORK, it is an OBSESSION. The best blog posts or marketing materials I have ever created were from PURE HEAVENLY explosion of INSPIRATION. My mind is not going “OMG how can I get more clients…” – yes sometimes it works like that, but when OBSESSION hits, my thoughts are going a million miles…

My mind is more like “OMG I can do this, OMG I can do that, wow I never thought of that, that would be a really great business idea…woo I can learn from that business….wooo”

Is it logical? Not always, obsession is not always logical, it’s a bit of insanity in my brain sometimes.

That’s why I have learned to WORK SMART, instead of HARD.

Working smart means WORKING IN SPURTS…and then RESTING in SPURTS.

We need to stop pretending that we are working hard, that stuff kills your energy. Can you imagine sitting there pretending to work while being distracted by a million social media posts? It drains you fast!

What if we all learned to GET STUFF done, inspired FAST, EXCELLENTLY, PRECISE, and then we can go to that happy hour you have been talking about for 10 years (and it’s just across the street but you always miss it because you were pretending to work hard). Perhaps then you can go on that vacation to Hawaii that you have been saving up vacation days for the last 20 years. JEEZ LOUIZ!

Pure Genius is learning to work less and get more stuff done.

Pure Genius is outsourcing work that would take you forever and make you less productive, efficient and money producing.

Pure Genius is learning to let go of work that drains you and focusing on work that INSPIRES and ENERGIZES YOU.

Pure Genius is learning to shy away and say no to coworkers that keep distracting you from getting work done so that you can actually have “fully present” moments of talking with your coworkers or friends during your “breaks”.

Am I focused? Oh yes, I am SO FOCUSED my eyes are popping out. Will people continue to question me? Yes, they probably will. The deal is that people who don’t think as brilliantly and as fast as I do will NEVER understand me. Why should they?

Let me be a mystery, let it be.

People don’t understand you? It doesn’t really matter.

Focus with your eyes wide open on you, because you gotta do you, and they gotta do they.

At the end of the day, you are the one who has got to live with yourself.

So question answered, how do I balance everything? I don’t, I strategize my time so precisely that I am sharp, productive, and I get sh*t done. When I play, I play SMART, when I work, I work SMART. In fact, work becomes play sometimes and play becomes work….I network when I play, I come into brilliant discussions of possible collaborations when I am playing.

It can be exhausting at times, but then I learn to REST SMART. Korean spa anyone?

How do you strategize your time? Do you believe in balance?

Do What You Love & You’ll Never Have To Work A Day In Your Life

Screen shot 2014-06-06 at 12.50.23 AM

Lying in bed, this question popped up “What am I doing with my life?”

Recently I had a realization that I was still striving for success, so that I could provide for my family, give my future kids a better life than I lived, and…well not have to “work” anymore.

We all strive for that don’t we? For future happiness.

And we continue to live in discontentment and the what ifs, preparing for future disaster, but never looking life in the face. I remembered a 30 ish year old friend telling me that he wish he had started doing what he loved earlier, that he should have given up what he loathed to dive head first into his love, his dream. This day, he is living his dream despite the obstacles, rejections, failures…but he is reaching his dreams.

Even though I teach everyone around me to live their dreams, out of necessity, I felt myself slipping into “what do I need to do to get by, to make it”, I started following patterns that bored me and copying peoples’ tactics… I lost my creative heart.

When you lose your creative heart out of daily obligations and “necessities”, you lose your ability to create INSPIRED work out of a creative heart. A Creative Heart Derives from Love and Rest.

The other night, I was on a floatie having a heart to heart, and it struck me so hard when he said “sometimes when things are not going the way you want it to, you have to let go and then you’ll start to do things the way you did them when you were really good at it… artists paint out of their love for painting and expression, versus the need to produce an artwork“.

I posted this on Facebook-

I had an epiphany today….what am I doing with my life?

I know I seem very inspirational and I am doing a lot of different things to actualize my dream, but what if all I want to do is lounge at the beach, get a tan, play music and be a part time hippie? What’s so wrong with that?

And maybe I really don’t want to be Asian Oprah or travel the world or manage multiple businesses, maybe I just want to grab my backpack and disappear into the jungles and deserts of the Middle East and South America.

Maybe I have still been succumbing to society pressures to be someone I am not. I believe if you focus on what you love, your dreams will chase you versus you chasing the dream.

I started teaching yoga and meditation because I was doing yoga as a hobby and posted pictures online. I was also giving people advice on how to solve their problems and create boundaries. Someone who saw my pictures asked me to teach a class, and the rest is history. Someone else referred me to a dance studio and I took the opportunity and grabbed it by the horns. I created 1 session of 4 classes, printed fliers, walked around town dropping them off at cafes, created videos, facebook invites, meetups, now I am registering people for the next 2 sessions. Was it scary? Yes. Was I doubtful that anyone would even sign up? Yes. Was I scared that I would lose money? Yes. Everything that I was scared of I faced and slapped away.

Another example of how something I naturally did turned into work was —I posted inspirational statuses on facebook and a newspaper editor asked me to compile those, NOW I write a monthly column.

If you do what you love, you will organically attract opportunities. That’s what life should and must be about.”

Life is not seeking opportunities outside of you,

It is knowing that everything is within you, waiting to be manifested into reality.

5 Tips For Women In Business

As a woman in business, I have learned and observed other women and men in business. I want to reveal the top 5 tips that will help you expand and grow in your business!

Image

1. Know What You Want- KNOW and write down WHAT you want before going into a meeting with clients, employers, prospects, anything. KNOW your numbers. Write down what you will make you happy. Yes, use those emotions. When you walk out of that meeting, if you closed a deal- would you feel disappointed or elated? At what numbers and terms will you walk away feeling “good about yourself”. The mistake is to react and say something you later regret….don’t ever live your life with “I wish I had”, do it now, determine it now even before you walk into a negotiation or meeting.

2. Know Your Worth- You need to know how talented and skilled you are. If you have created a niche in the market, have a great personality, have proven records- provide them to your clients, employers, prospects. Show them the numbers, show them your marketing materials, your press releases, your website, your social media, show them your influence…and show them how you can contribute to them….because you are worth it! Don’t try to prove it just by saying it, show them by experience and proof.

3. Have Fun- Beyond knowing your worth and getting what you want in business, you must know how to have fun….because at the end of the day, you have to feel good about yourself. I see so many business women and men with long faces and tight suits. They beat themselves up for not closing a deal or making money. Pat yourself on the back, you have already come a long ways and you are not alone! When you are “not there yet”, even then, dance! Go find something to do which will create endorphins in your body. Chat with a friend, get the stress out, do yoga, meditate, sing….life is a celebration, it’s not all about work, career, or finance! You will win in life if you choose to have fun and relax, people will want to work with you. People CAN SMELL DESPERATION MY FRIENDS, if you live out of lack, you will attract NO BUSINESS. BUT if you work on yourself inside, learn to love yourself…..BABY you have got yourself a slew of overflowing BUSINESS.

4. Work Out Of Service…But Know Your Boundaries- As women, we are naturally wired to want to help and contribute to this world. However, you must know your boundaries. You cannot GIVE something you DON’T HAVE. I learned this the hard way. When I was starting out my business, I was sponsoring a child even though I could hardly sponsor myself. I did this out of the compassion of my heart, but I also later realized that you cannot give to others if your tank is not filled. Take care of yourself first – energetically, emotionally, spiritually, physically…etc. then you can live out of an overflowing tank! Of course, there are times when helping someone will actually give to you, but you must be spiritually CENTERED to live out of this wisdom. Seek wisdom, everyday!

5. Collaborate- HMMM WOMEN, we need to collaborate with each other and our fellow men to succeed in business. We cannot compete with each other and then end up isolating ourselves. I live by this motto, help me help you, so that you can help me. How can I help you in a way that helps me at the end of our business together? Business is about giving one dollar, and sometimes making more. Business is about planting many seeds because you never know which ones will grow. Business is about investing in relationships in an authentic way which will later reap harvests…without the shady motivation that you are just in the relationship for business. Business is a natural growth of relationships built out of trust.

ASK FOR HELP my dear! Self-sufficiency is a lie. Ask your friends and partners to shamelessly PROMOTE YOUR work. You say, “well shouldn’t they just know to do that?” NO, people are mostly thinking of themselves, their problems, their goals! It’s just human tendency. However, we can become the agents of change who decide that we will help each other and collaborate to grow every business that surrounds our line of business……and more.

Seeing Work As A Conduit of Love

image-8

Students learning “HOW TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS”

image-7

My funny picture and I teaching at Pasadena City College

As I drove past traffic on the LA highways, I thought about what the communal energy was. The energy was probably that of stress- “I have to get to work on time, I am stuck in traffic, I have to pay my bills, work sucks, etc”. What if we thought about our work as a conduit of love? What if we actually did what we love out of a pure energy of love…and we refused to compromise our values for money?

Recently, I started teaching yoga and meditation and spoke at 3 different events this month. I taught young teens how to start their own business and I was genuinely shocked by how easy teaching a big group of people was for me. I felt pure love and expansion in my heart for these mere strangers. I thought about how strange it was that even though I was not getting paid for it, my heart felt strong and powerful. I also noticed that as I teach out of pure love of wanting to help others, I have been receiving more monetarily and even getting more opportunities and promotions in life. As you give (through your work), you will receive tenfold! How much you earn is directly proportional to the value you provide to others.

That’s when I realized that pure love makes money flow with ease and grace. Money is not apart from love, actually money is one way in which we can love others and show them that they are worthy of their talents and skills. When our greed and selfishness for gain gets in the way, our relationships are also distorted. Business is crooked because we start to focus more on the money than on the people that we are doing business with. That is why you see very successful people with horrible relationships, but also people who are poor also have jaded values of what money means. Some people think that money is evil. No, it is the greed that is evil. When we place money above people, that is evil.

In my life, I have studied people, finance, spirituality, growth and everything I have ever been interested in. I sold jewelry, taught lessons, did real estate, wrote for newspapers and magazines, improv-ed, appeared on television, was a marketing manager, instructor, musician, artist, business woman..I danced a lot and took all kinds of classes (flamenco, acting, creative writing, german…to name a few).

My goal was to become successful, and I also wanted to help people. At one point, I found myself wanting money more than helping people. My greed got in the way of my heart. I became constricted and fearful that people were going to rip me off. As a previous freelancer I have had many people rip me off. I have designed and created fashion pieces only to have the woman never pay me. I have learned from my mistakes in my lifetime of playing music for weddings and people not pay me a cent (because well, aren’t we friends?). I have experienced injustice towards the young, people taking advantage of interns because they are supposedly inexperienced and are not worth the money.

However, when I lived in fear, I also noticed that business started to dwindle. Whatever energy you feed into, that will expand. What if we lived with an open heart to love and to serve, business will come easily and gracefully. And if it doesn’t? Many times you are being stripped away of all that is distorted and crooked in your heart. Or perhaps you are being the lesson of being, loving yourself first so you can love others.

In having experienced many things in my lifetime, I can say I am more in tune with how it feels to live in fear or love. When you live in fear of “people are going to jip me”, “I won’t have enough for bills this month”, “business stinks”, you will often feel physically constricted. Your neck will hurt, you will become sick, you will experience stomachaches, you will grow angry at the world and some people start to blame everyone around them instead of taking responsibility.

The fact is, you need to know whatever you want needs to be cultivated in your soul first. You must know that you are worthy. You must know that you deserve a certain amount, you must know that everything that needs and wants to be expressed in the external world first begins internally. You must have faith as well. You must keep trusting and believing when times gets tough and your dreams have not come into fruition. You must keep envisioning and believing when there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.

You must also know that the dream is not the end goal, but the journey is… The journey is, the people you walk near and past, the people you love on in that season of life. You experience an abundance of love when you see life as a spiritual path versus an end goal. Yesterday I experienced a flow of genuine love between a friend I have known for 10 years. I felt that our friendship had endured the test of time due to the fact that our friendship has been pure, without manipulation or this guilt tripping of “I give to you so you must give to me”. In giving out of unconditional love (with boundaries of course), we were able to walk through thick and thin.

Over the years, I have learned to forgive easily and to let go gracefully. There are friends you keep and there are friends you must let go of so you can walk towards greater heights.

Work is a conduit of our love. The world is interconnected in all regards. One person’s thoughts create the energy around them. Do you ever wonder why you walk into a room and feel sick to your stomach? Someone has tainted the room with their negativity. You can become an agent of change by remembering to live in love. What does that look like? Search and you will find, continue to read my blog of course 😉 and continue to read, learn, experience what love looks like. I’m here with you in this journey 🙂

No Risk, No Reward

Image

For some reason, I think I have written about this already….but no risk, no reward.

In life, you have to try things. The faster you can try and fail, the better. You’ll become a tiger or maybe a lady hawk like me.

3 years ago, I started selling jewelry after watching Australian vendors sell feather earrings on the street. It sparked an idea in me to do the same. I was selling jewelry out of a wine box.

I started from humble beginnings but I had a big dream to become like Donald Trump, Oprah, Tony Robbins, to be bigger than my circumstances. I envisioned myself as the most prominent women spokesperson in the world. I know, that’s a bit crazy to think about. It might have been crazy two years ago when I was crying and wondering how I would pay my bills. To be honest, bills never dissipate…bills will increase as your responsibilities increase. However, as an entrepreneur, you learn better and faster ways to make money. You find multiple streams of income based all on your dreams and visions.

A month ago, I was scared to try something I had been brewing in my mind for 4 months. I had previously taught yoga, but wanted to incorporate the life coaching aspect. I envisioned people getting healed emotionally and spiritually from their day to day stressful lives. One day, my mind was so obsessed over this idea that I just went “f#%@ it, I have to do this!” I then designed the flier myself, created an eventbrite, and started promoting the class. I named it Yoga and Meditation class. As the beginnings of the class was soon approaching, I started getting nervous about the number of sign ups. I was fearful that I would not make money off of it. But something in me reminded me…why are you doing this class? I was reminded that the reason I had a desire to teach this class was to help people.

I know that my deepest desire is to change people lives, because somehow it makes me feel like I have a purpose on this earth.

Before the class began, a few people dropped out and I was very discouraged. Again, I was reminded…who are you doing this for? I knew that I was ultimately doing for a higher purpose, that if no one showed up, I would be okay. I could still pat myself in the back and say “wow woman, I am so proud of you because you took the risk even though it was scary”.

At the end of the day, you spend the most time with yourself, you have got to love yourself as much as you can….and know that you have nothing to prove, you’re loved just as you are.

In that moment, I found that I could breathe and be in the present.

Now, I breathe deeper,

sing louder,

dance weirder.

Now, I know I have nothing to prove

but to be my loudest and most obnoxious self

and sometimes be the silent thinker that I am.

At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror

“I am so F***ing proud of you”

and be truthfully and most authentically me.

That I can show the world I am a professional

but I am also authentically real.

That I tend to bump into clients when I am dancing.

Love,

Bekka

I am starting my own Rebekka’s Book Club, just like Oprah’s Book Club, but mine.

Anyways! THE YOGA AND MEDITATION CLASS IS LITERALLY IN A DAY OR SO! It has been such a journey working on this course. My spiritual journey has consisted of building this class for over 4 months, getting excited about my first sign up, and the ups and downs of the goals I had set for myself. Being an entrepreneur is definitely NOT easy all the time, but it is definitely fulfilling….because what an entrepreneur is, is someone who is willing to work on themselves while they are creating a new thing in the world. If you want to grow with me, please register today! Space is limited! YOGA AND MEDITATION CLASS

I started setting a goal to read 1 book a week this summer, especially since my German class is over.

I wanted to share some great quotes I found in “A Return To Love” by Marianne Williamson. As you know, my April article for West Valley Journal was about relationships, and who doesn’t want to learn more about love with a partner?

Image

As a woman, we have been taught to desire marriage, and hey, I’m all for it….but I think that the pressure to marry someone pushes us to marry someone we’re not truly compatible with. Sometimes people are ready for marriage but not ready to marry the right person. I have been studying marriage all my life, so reading A RETURN TO LOVE really opened my eyes. You see, I have girl friends that literally will not go on dates because they are not “ready to settle”. Girl, you ain’t going to find a man if you ain’t putting yourself out there….and also they feel like they have to find the “one” ASAP and because of this pressure, they rather not even go out of their way to date.

I think that’s pretty tragic (personal opinion, not business opinion- note, if you have not noticed, this is a blog which conveys my opinions and not my professional opinion).

I also think that people rush into marriage because of pressures from people around them, this is also out of fear versus love.

Marianne says that “relationships (not just romantic, but friendships, mentorships, etc) are assignments. They are part of a vast plan for our enlightenment, the Holy Spirit’s blueprint by which each individual soul is led to greater awareness and expanded love. Relationships are the Holy Spirit’s laboratories in which He brings together people who have the maximal opportunity for mutual growth. He appraises who can learn most from whom at any given time, and then assigns them to each other. Like a giant universal computer. He knows exactly what combination of energies, in exactly what context, would do the most to further God’s plan for salvation. No meetings are accidental. ‘Thos who are to meet will meet, because together they have the potential for a holy relationship'”

It is unfortunate how young people are taught that they are either serious or not about relationships. For example, some people can’t be friends if they are of the opposite sex. Why is that? We are all spiritual beings that are put together in certain point in our lives to learn and grow from each other. I don’t care how old you are, we cross paths not just because of one intention- for romantic relationship, that is so bogus!

Some people, out of fear, refuse to honor the integrity of another human being by simply using them for their own physical enjoyment. They do this also out of fear. So you are either driven by fear or love. Something magical happens when you choose to open yourself up to loving encounters.

My friend once told me “why is it that in our society, whoever cares less wins?” in reference to a guy she was seeing. I told her to never change. I said that some people are so hurt that they defend their hearts by not putting their emotions on the line. This is also out of fear.

More quotes-

“Often we think we are ‘in love’ with a person, as A Course in Miracles indicates, we’re actually anything but. The special relationship is based not on love but on guilt. The special relationship is the ego’s seductive pull away from God. It is a major form of idolatry, or temptation to think that something other than God can complete us and give us peace….It makes us think we need another person, when in fact we are complete and whole as we are…

A relationship is not meant to be the joining at the hip of two emotional invalids. The purpose of a relationship is not for two incomplete people to become one, but rather for two complete people to join together for the greater glory of God”

So whether you believe there is a God or not, I do absolutely agree that we have been fed a lie that we need someone to complete us. There is something attractive about a person when they are completely whole, people are strongly drawn to them….not because they are simply emotionally or physically attracted, but because they TOO DESIRE to be whole.

Laws of Money and Success

Image

As an entrepreneur, I have gained clarity and broken out of many types of mindsets that limited my life. I am grateful that I was taught the laws of the universe early on in life. I am grateful that I continued to pursue the wisdom of this universe.

I immigrated 3 times in my life, but often had an unstable lifestyle. I moved so many times I cannot even count. I also experienced close friendships, extreme emotions like intense joy and intense depression and pain. I made soul friends who were once close, but then moved on in life. I experienced divorce in the family, loneliness in my childhood, financial hardships and feeling like I did not fit in anywhere I went. I have also gained unique clarity in all of these experiences.

In the negativity of my life, I gained hope in my own quiet place in my heart. Over the years, I have observed everyone from young to old, rich to poor, people of all races and people in various countries. I have seen the poorest of poor running around enjoying the abundance of life and natural resources. I have also seen the richest of rich emit a stench of intense loneliness and despair. I have also seen vice versa. I have heard stories that surprised me, because one cannot judge someones’ looks, ever. How we present ourselves in this world does not always reflect our inner world.

Universal Laws I learned over the years:

1. Law of Use– the law of use explains that when we waste something by not using it, we are actually stopping more from coming to us. There is a show called Hoarders, and I wrote about this in my previous blog post…when we hoard something we do not need or has no sentimental value, we are keeping dead energy. Just imagine that thing as a dead rat sitting in your closet. Keeping your house fresh and getting rid of old things is one way to invite new and beautiful things into your life! Today I threw out a table that was broken and I felt so liberated. That thing was carrying negative energy just by being BROKEN!

2. Law of Abundance- The law of abundance says that the more you focus on what you can afford (even in the future), what you desire, what blessings you already have…the more you attract that abundance. When you live from a spirit of poverty, people will sense that and not want to do business with you. Even if people don’t believe in the laws or spiritual truths, they can sense your energy or vibe. I have learned that and broken out of the poverty mindset. I no longer hold negative thoughts about not having enough, I always tell myself that I have more than enough…and miraculously when I let go of the results and control, money comes easily to me.

3. Law of Giving- Money and material things are meant to be circulated. Money is an energy and when we invest, give, use what we have been given, we allow more to come into our hands. It is also important to note that we should not give out of duty, but out of desire. Giving out of guilt or duty also comes from a spirit of poverty and lack. This will only welcome in more lack even though you may be giving in the external world.

4. Law of Joy – Each accomplishment or success step comes with an emotion. When we accomplish something we want, we feel this intense gratefulness and joy…in order to welcome that success into your life, you must live each day as if YOU ALREADY HAVE IT. What comes out of your mouth must be words of success and not of limitation, how you act must be actions of victory and not of defeat.

I hear people say, “I want to do this, but you know it’s really tough…”. I stop them immediately and tell them that by saying that they have ALREADY defeated themselves, they have already stopped that dream from coming true by simply stating something that IS NOT TRUE.

I have people tell me that I am crazy, my own family member tells me that I am a dreamer, but while these people are complaining about how I am crazy, I am slowly living and fulfilling my dream. I simply ignore negative talk and keep my positive head high, higher than anyone if I need to. Which leads us to….

5. The Law of Attraction- The law of attraction says that whatever you think, act, say will come into being. The law of attraction attracts the people, friends and business that you are currently embodying. Don’t get me wrong, I am still learning everyday and am learning what my worth is, but I will to the best of my ability discipline my mind, words and action to align with what I want for my future. If you are hanging out with people you do not want to become, or perhaps are not going anywhere in life, you might want to consider ditching them! Like attracts like! Then there are those that have come along you to go with you to those high places in life. Then so be it!

6. Law of Growth- At the end of the day, it is your PERSONAL growth that will help you to be a happy person. It is not material possessions or money that will make you happy….it is much deeper than that. For me, it is my spirituality, my wisdom, my gratefulness and all things that are actually intangible that makes me happy! The more you grow, the more you will break off negative and old mindsets….the more you will live in a way where you don’t care about what people think, but you live out of true freedom!

3 Tips to Become An Effective Entrepreneur

3 Tips to Become An Effective Entrepreneur

DSC_0088

Hello fellow Entrepreneurs and People of This Earth!

I have 3 tips to help YOU become a more effective business owner, artist, entrepreneur or person in general!

I have been self-employed, and now as a real estate professional, artist and speaker…since November of 2011. I had about $100 or less in the bank when I started, I had just backpacked in Australia, visiting the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne on an adventure of love and self-discovery. Think “#Eat Pray and Love”. I recommend TRAVELING and SOLO BACKPACKING to anyone who wants to live a self-discovered, passionate and purposeful life.

I journal a lot when I travel, I observe and am open to meeting any new strangers, or angels if you call it. I live like that in Los Angeles as well, I am open to new adventures and mishaps (which could very well lead to amazing friends). For example, the above photo was taken by a photographer named Patrick Barraza who responded to one of my craigslist ad for collaboration. Is it scary to put myself out there like that? Not really, I don’t allow fear to enter my mind and I try to stay away from people who spew fear into the atmosphere. I try to change my atmosphere by disputing with their fearful thoughts. I try to encourage people to think positively. What you focus on usually comes true, does it not?

So that’s a little about my background of how I started and how I continue to live my entrepreneurial and creative life.

3 tips to help you become a more effective entrepreneur:

1. Sit down and Plan-

On sundays, I usually sit down and schedule in appointments for the week. I leave open spaces where I can create freely without hindrances of a set schedule, but there are set appointments I have to pencil in. I also write what my goals are on the side, this will determine what opportunities and people I should really hone in on.

Your goals should not only be material, it should focus on qualities. For example, for April, I want to feel accomplished, successful and alive. Having set income or material goals is a good thing, however, if you don’t know what you truly want to feel and embody in your spirit, you can achieve all those things and still feel empty. Perhaps you want to feel and embody peace. Seek and you will find.

Here are a few examples of what you can write down:

Peace, joy, love, connectedness, community, passion, creativity, aliveness, life, rest, success, health, wealth, fullness, wholeness, beauty, wonder, adventure, freedom…etc.

2. Think before saying Yes-

I have learned the hard way that “Yes” can lead to burn out. Practice saying “Let me get back to you on that, I will think about it or check my schedule”. Instinct is good sometimes, because you want to be able to be open to spontaneous encounters, but if you have a habit of jumping in too soon because you want to please people….check yourself! No’s can be the best thing for welcoming in an open door to the right opportunity. You only have limited hours in a day, choose wisely.

3. Take vacations or take days off-

You are your own boss when you are an entrepreneur. It is WAY too easy to work all day, all the way from your bed in the morning back to your bed at night. Successful business owners know how to set boundaries and keep “fun time” pure of “work time”. You don’t want to dilute your time too much because you’ll end up being a slave to your own business! We chose this path to be free from work, not a slave to work. My first boss once told me “find what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”, well, it is still work, but you can get to a point where you enjoy it every time you do it because you really don’t have to!

Here’s a fun video I made: Enjoy!

What Is Synchronicity?

Synchronicity is when you let go,

let be.

Synchronicity happens when you stop trying and let the pages fall into place.

Synchronicity is when you give yourself a break after pushing fiercely in the beginning and know you have done everything you can

to make it happen.

Synchronicity is when you don’t care anymore how and when it will work out.

Synchronicity happens when you chill and breathe.

Synchronicity happens when you choose to be happy in spite of all the gray colors.

Synchronicity happens when you learn to enjoy life and you stop planning how IT SHOULD happen in your mind.

Just do your best and let the rest fall into the beautiful place it wanted to be in anyways.

Where there is fear and hesitancy, the universe resists. Where there is 110% unwavering faith, the universe flows to meet and greet you. Faith is actually not a feeling, it is belief in yourself, in a bigger being, in imagination and creativity. If you can imagine it, it will happen. The key is to be joyful in the process, because you are only losing energy by being stressed.

I know this because I go through this all the time, the expectation of something to fall through. It is only when you don’t care too much about the results, that things fall into place….when you learn to have fun and celebrate in the process, things happen easier.

There are lot of doors closed, but we focus on knocking at one door when just behind us is an open door.

This is where creativity kicks in, we should always use our critical and creative thinking skills- there is more than one way for things to happen, I have experienced this in the past. The beautiful thing about life is that things can happen anyway we allow them to happen, ALLOW, yes, not want, but allow. And sometimes when we allow doors to fling open, we are not dead panned on one door opening, we will flood our lives with blessings that are beyond the human eyes.
