About

My name is Rebekka Lien.
I write and speak about “being enough”.
Everything we encounter in our daily lives goes back to the question of “am I enough?” The world views accumulation of material wealth, accolades, accomplishments, awards and praise as a measure and monitor of our worth and it seems to go up and down depending on our current situation.
We live in an unending rat race that proves futile to true peace. I personally ran that rat race and felt like a chicken with its head cut off and personally lost myself trying to be like everyone else. I thought if I had the career, the apartment, the successful boyfriend and partner in life, I’d look the part.
But I lost myself. I no longer lived by what I valued but what the world valued. I needed to party and drink to numb the pain of losing myself. I often found myself crying on my bathroom mat.
God did a lot of healing in my heart regarding a rocky childhood. I did not see my dad for 10 years from 8 to 18 when we immigrated to America from Taiwan. I was born in Germany and for some reason, being fatherless made me feel depressed and unwanted.
When I finally hit rock bottom of trying to hold together a crumbling house, it was humiliating but also freeing. Jesus called me to sell everything and follow him. It was more like a call to just be, versus doing.
Since then I’ve learned that I am enough in God’s eyes and have been teaching this message of grace. I’ve healed from a broken heart, and I’ve found true worth. I lost everything and gained my soul back. I’ve won my heart and soul back. I found myself again.

How Does This Pertain to You? I want to help you live the life you want NOW. All my blog posts empower YOU. I am in the process of writing a book about my FIRST YEAR, ONE YEAR of self- employment. I will talk about the most embarrassing, shocking, crazy miraculous stories that you probably NEVER heard of, because Bill Gates aint going to tell you that at one point he didnt have toilet paper to wipe his ass! (this happened to me because I was so broke at one point of having quit my job).

Of course, not every entrepreneur wants to sell jewelry, teach music, art, sewing, write a book, be a life coach, buy a VW bus, become a gazzilionare, save the world, fight human trafficking, perform in front of thousands, be a broker, travel the world, and do/be exactly who she wants to be. So there you have it. You can easily invest in me by contacting rebekkalien@gmail.com. I swear, an encouraging word, a dollar, a few dollars, a thousand dollars could mean…publishing this book SOON and saving the world from being eaten up by compromise, complacency, stupidity, tyrants, and other miscellaneous others.

“Where in LA do you feel is the most beautiful and why?”

The most beautiful place in LA is in the hearts of each individual. A place can be beautiful, but I believe that human beings are at the center of what a place becomes. I love LA because it is a melting pot of cultures, ethnicities, and languages. There really is no place like LA. Nowhere else in the world can all color-skin come together and be so accepting and understanding of each other. I HEART LA and will always call it home, even though I’m a huge nomad.

Hi Rebekka! I love this bio! I guess I’d never realized how incredibly accomplished you were! I’m glad you’re keeping up with cello!!!

      1. *haha* Totally forgot that I asked you this. I was reminded after doing some website analytics today. Anyways, I’m filling up a link page right now, so once that’s completed then it’ll be on my site. Should I just link it to your about page? Home page?

  2. Ah, this is so great. The hearts of the individuals. That’s what I feel is beautiful about Austin, but the huge sky helps as well. I am very happy that I found your blog, the colors are waking me up!

  3. You are so freaking inspiring, Rebekka! Your post “How to travel the world without breaking the bank” is a slap in many people’s faces, especially the lazy, complainers and full-of-excuses ones. I simply love it. Keep up the good work!
